Truck receiving A/C repair and recharge

Summer is approaching fast and you may have noticed that your truck’s air conditioning isn’t quite as cold as it once was. Before the heat hits, make sure your air conditioning system is blowing nice and cold.

Why isn’t my A/C working?

Whether your air conditioning isn’t quite as cold as it used to be or not working at all, here are a few reasons it might giving a less-than-optimal performance:

  • Refrigerant is leaking
  • Condenser is blocked
  • Condenser is broken
  • Electric or wiring problems
  • Broken or malfunctioning cooling fan

Are air conditioning issues expensive to fix?

Probably not. Most A/C issues are fixed quickly with a refrigerant recharge but some involve more time-consuming repair or replacement work.

The average cost for an AC recharge is between $123 and $300.

The average cost for more in-depth repair and replacements is $488 but can raise to over $3,000 for more extensive issues.
