Truck having EGR issues

Our tuning partner, 3K Calibrations, has a ton of tuning options for EGR problems. If you run into a problem and you can’t find a solution give them a call and they’ll help you find the info you need.

01. Fuel Economy Tuning

Fuel economy is a major factor in the survival of trucking companies — especially with rising gas prices. Our ECM tuning service will not only lower your fuel cost, but also give more power to your diesel engine.

What is ECM Tuning?

ECM Tuning is the process of fine-tuning that software in order to increase power, improve response and lower fuel consumption — all in one go. When done properly — which our certified technicians always do — ECM tuning has little to no negative effect on exhaust emissions. And perhaps the best part of all, ECM tuning increases the overall lifespan of an engine.

Our tuning process can help you reduce fuel cost from 5% up to 25%.

Savings

Even if you only gain 1 MPG efficiency, at 200,000 km per year that’s $12,000 in fuel cost savings. For a fleet of 10 diesel trucks, that means $120,000 saved per year.

All our Fuel Economy Tuning meet North American emission opacity norms. 3K Calibration offers in-house opacity testing with devices authorized by the Canadian government

02. Performance Tuning

Having trouble on hills? 3K Calibrations ECM tuning will give your rig more horsepower and torque. With an expected 5% to 30% increase, your overall engine lifespan and efficiency will go up too.

Does this process put more strain on my engine?

ECM tuning makes your engine’s combustion more efficient. Since an engine with better combustion is a cleaner engine, you can expect less wear and tear on your parts. Overall, this means a longer vehicle lifespan.

03. Off-Highway Tuning

3K Calibrations offers off-highway tuning services to reach unmatched high levels of performance. These tuning services are for special applications such as competitions and events like drag racing and/or sled pulling. In most cases, engines used in competitions require modifications, including the replacement of parts and the removal of emissions components. We put at our customers’ disposal a variety of high-performance parts. Our tuning alterations include EGR Valve Delete, DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) delete, Urea system delete (DEF Fluid), VGT Turbo delete (Variable geometry turbo) and RPM limiter removal. By removing these components from your engine, you will significantly increase the performance of your diesel engine when using your heavy truck for off-highway purposes. With the deletion and alterations of some of these performance parts, your engine can easily reach over 1000 horsepower.
